Digital Templating

Once we are ready to make your granite countertop, a trained technician visits your home to take the precise measurements of your countertop. We use our FARO ARM DIGITAL TEMPLATING machine to measure your countertops to produce a computer file. This technology is also used in industries like General Electric and Boeing where precision measure is required. This method ensures that human errors are avoided and measurements are accurate to 1/64th of an inch. Customers can see a computer model of their countertop right after the templating process and can suggest modifications and changes.

Cutting the Stone

The drawings and specifications of your job are then reviewed by our production manager to make sure they are complete. A special digital camera installed over our ANTEA CNC Bridge saw takes the picture of the granite slab placed on the saw table and displays the photo on the operating monitor of the CNC Saw. Then the kitchen drawing is overlaid over the slab picture. This aids in the perfect location of the seams (joints) and also aids in eliminating the defects in the stone slab. Once the layout is done, the slab is cut automatically resulting in accurate dimensions.

CNC Edge Profiling

The cut pieces are then forwarded to our CNC machining area with the help of our Manzelli Vacuum Lifting System. They are processed on the state of the art stone working machine CMS SPEED- 3 CNC PROFILER where the pieces are edged, polished and cutouts for under mount sink and cook top are made and holes for faucets drilled. CNC machine not only allows increased production and faster fabrication but will also enable us to provide customers with intricate designs with consistent high quality.

Flat Edge Polisher

With our Fling Flat machine, we are able to make high quality flat polishing at 45 feet per hour.

Undermount Sink Fabrication

The sink cutout is a very conspicuous feature of a granite counter top. For under mount sinks the cutout should match the sink shape exactly with a consistent overhand relative to the top of vertical walls of the sink. Our CNC fabricated under mount sinks are exceptionally beautiful because we make a half round edge around the sink as a standard feature and the overhang is free of lines and bumps. We insert steel rods around the back surface of the sink to reinforce the strength of countertop.

Recessed & Inclined Drain Board

Fabricating a recessed drain board on the kitchen counter top is the latest trend in European kitchens. That is fast catching up here also. Fabricating an inclined drain board on granite counter tops is a kind of test for the capability of a fabrication shop. Under Side Finish

The back side of the polished surface of the counter top is very course. We polish the exposed under surfaces of the overhangs to remove the course finish so that users have a pleasant feeling when they come in contact with the overhangs.

Seams or Joints

Due to the limitations of the granite slab size, most of the jobs will have seams. One of the biggest concerns of home owners planning granite countertops is seams. Our CNC machine uses a set of Z-Polishing tools to make the both surfaces of the seams smooth thereby reducing the gap to minimum possible ,  making seams practically invisible.
